What Is a Fracture?
A fracture is a break in any of your foot's bones. Believe it or not, your foot is comprised of 26 small bones:
- 7 tarsus bones in the hindfoot and midfoot
- 5 metatarsals in the forefoot
- 14 phalanges, including 2 in the big toe and 3 in each of the remaining toes
Most Common Fractures
Your forefoot (metatarsal) is the site of most foot fractures, although fractures can occur in any foot bone.
If you think you may have fractured your foot, give us a call. Our
